5. Black Panther And Captain America Are Not Friends
The exact nature of Black Panther's role in the film has been kept a mystery, with Marvel chief Kevin Feige stating he'd be a neutral figure, but T'Challa then appearing on Team Stark in the promo artwork. So, which is it? Well, going on this trailer, it appears there may be something in his being on Stark's team after all. While that may not be the case, what is clear is that he and Captain America do not get along. We get a couple of exciting glimpses of Chadwick Boseman's character in the trailer (who is presumably the one in the helicopter we see, either heading to action for his own reasons, or as the representative of Wakanda after an attack on the UN building). There's a shot of him fighting Bucky, and then later he's being chased by Cap. That doesn't exactly scream neutral, does it? Based on the footage here at least, it suggests that he's either going to be fighting Captain America on the side of Iron Man, or perhaps more likely will have his own independent reasons for going after Bucky. There have been rumours that the death of his father will play a part in things here, with him going after Bucky because of it, and that seems a much more credible suggestion after watching him in action. Even if his father's not dead (it's the sort of thing they might keep back for his standalone film out in 2018), it would appear Black Panther has a major issue with the Winter Soldier.
