8. This Is The Starforce

When the movie begins, Carol has left Earth and joined the crack military unit known as Starforce on the Kree planet Hala. The movie's directors, Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, amusingly referred to the team as "the SEAL Team Six of space."

What's especially interesting is that among Danvers' comrades is Korath (Djimon Hounsou), who of course appeared briefly in Guardians of the Galaxy in a decidedly more villainous role. Will his duplicity begin here, or will he actually remain on the good side for the movie's entirety?

Alongside Danvers and Korath is Minn-Erva (Gemma Chan), a Kree geneticist who comes to blows with Mar-Vell (Jude Law) in the comics; Att-Lass (Algenis Perez Soto) next to Korath; and at the back Bron-Char (Rune Temte).
