Carla Gugino in RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN
WATCHMEN and SIN CITY actress to play a discredited astrophysicist (i.e. UFO expert) in Disney's reimagining of the 1975 kids movie.
Carla Gugino will star opposite Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in Race to Witch Mountain, Disney's reimagining of its 1975 kids fantasy thriller Escape to Witch Mountain says The Hollywood Reporter. Gugino will play a discredited astrophysicist and UFO expert who meets a Las Vegas cab driver (Johnson), and is asked to help a pair of psychic siblings escape the clutches of evil men and save the world from impending doom. Veteran actor/director Gary Marshall is also on board as another UFO expert. I'm liking the cast more and more with every new announcement (great character actor Ciaran Hinds is also on board) and I'm expecting it to be one step above director Andy Fickman's last movie The Game Plan.
