Hollywood debut from The Host director follows a "train full of travelers who struggle to co-exist" as they try to cling on to their old ways in a post-apocalyptic world covered in snow and ice.
Captain America lead Chris Evans has entered negotiations to star in Snow Piercer, a new English-language Indie movie from Korean auteurs Bong Joon-ho and Chan-wook Park. Directed by Joon-ho (The Host, Mother), produced by Park (Oldboy, Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance) from a script co-written by them both, Snow Piercer is an adaptation of the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige and follows a "train full of travelers who struggle to co-exist" as they try to cling on to their old ways in a post-apocalyptic world covered in snow and ice. The Moho Films movie will mark Bong Joon-ho's Hollywood feature debut and has been a project he has been trying to crack for the past seven years. With Evans on board the project is already drawing the attention of handful of top-tier Hollywood talent, so this could become a big ensemble quite quickly. Filming is due to begin in March and he will finish up just about the same time The Avengers is in theaters in May. Evans has just finished shooting the Indie movie The Ice Man about the infamous mob hitman Richard Kuklinski and is attempting to balance his indie/commercial ventures. source - Variety
