Daniel Craig is set to play a "fading Hollywood star" in the movie Flashbacks of a Fool, which will begin shooting May 28th in South Africa and London. From Variety...
"Flashbacks of a Fool" is the story of a hedonistic British actor whose Hollywood career is starting to nosedive as he hits his 40s. The death of his best friend from his English seaside childhood causes him to journey back home for the funeral, and prompts flashbacks to his teenage experiences, including the tragedy that forced him to flee for a new life.
The film which has been picked up by Buena Vista Intl. (UK) and Archlight (US) for distribution, will mark the feature writing and directing debut of music videos helmer Baillie Walsh. Craig will no doubt have lots of fun in a part where he is playing a fading actor, at a time when his career has never been so hot!
