Susanne Bier's first American movie Things We Lost in the Fire starring Benicio Del Toro and Halle Berry is set open next month in the U.S. The film is about a recent widow who invites her husband's troubled best friend to live with her and her two children, who eventually helps the widower overcome her loss. Yes it very much sounds like a depressing drama, so no doubt it will be in Oscar attention although to be fair, the movie has got zero buzz at this point and it's released in just a matter of weeks. Attention for Bier now turns to her next film which according to Variety will be much more light-hearted and user friendly. That being Lost for Words which is being setup at Working Title Films. The movie centers around a movie star Lothario who finds himself falling in love with a beautiful Chinese actress and her female translator. He loves them both? British comedy vet Richard Curtis is one of the flick's producers which probably bodes well for the picture and if they go for someone with the humor of British actor Hugh Grant, then this could be an interesting movie. I quite like the premise actually, as it's a slightly new spin on the cliche movie love triangle.
