David Fury leaves TERRA NOVA

According to the Hollywood Reporter, writer-producer David Fury (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, 24) has left the TV series Terra Nova, citing "creative differences". His colleague Brannon Braga (Star Trek Enterprise, FlashForward) is now the showrunner. The Fox TV series, about a family living in the environmentally-ravaged Earth of 2149 A.D, who travel back in time to the age of the dinosaurs via a wormhole, has had a bumpy production. It was original slated to premiere mid-season, but the pilot (directed by Alex Graves) will now air in May 2011, before the series gets underway in autumn 2011. Terra Nova stars Jason O'Mara (Life On Mars USA) as Jim Shannon, and Allison Miller (Kings) as his guide through the wormhole. There are also rumours that Stephen Lang (Avatar) may be joining the cast, as Commander Frank Taylor, the leader of the settlement on Terra Nova. What are your thoughts on this development? Will Terra Nova miss Fury's input? Does everything Brannon Braga touches die (see: Star Trek Enterprise, Threshold, FlashForward and 24)? Is it wise to (perhaps) cast Avatar's Stephen Lang, consider the show's heavy Jurassic Park-meets-Primeval-meets-Avatar vibe?
