David Koepp in talks for Spidey 4

By Matt Holmes /

Coming Soon, veteran screenwriter David Koepp is in talks to pen the script for Spider-Man 4. The Raimi brothers wrote the upcoming script for this May's third installment of the franchise, so could this be an indication that Sam won't be returning to direct a fourth film? Koepp is a frequent Hollywood scribe who's work includes Jurassic Park, Mission Impossible, Panic Room, War of the Worlds and was the guy who's finished script was accepted by Lucas, Ford and Spielberg for Indiana Jones 4. The future of the Spider-Man franchise does seem very uncertain at this point in time. There's little doubt Spidey 3 will do well and a fourth movie will be happening in the near future but who knows if Raimi or the cast will return. We should know a little more after this May. As much as I would love Raimi to continue making Spider-Man movies till the day he dies, I do kinda wanna see him handle something else. Remember this is the guy who made Darkman, The Quick and The Dead and The Evil Dead, he hasn't shot a non-Spidey movie in 7 years. Of course if Koepp was to write the script, it won't neccesarily rule out Raimi from directing and it could even free up his schedule to shoot something else in between a 4th film. The good folks over at IESB have a ton of new pics of the movie, which you can see for yourself by clicking here. I love the one I posted with this article, a great Spidey pose! source - filmstalker, coming soon, iesb
