All the way back in April of 2014, it was announced that little-known theatre actor Ray Fisher would be bringing the character of Victor "Cyborg" Stone to life on the big screen. Over two and a half years later and we still haven't gotten to fully meet the character, who - despite having a fleeting cameo in Batman v Superman - will get his full introduction in the first Justice League film next year.

As it stands, Cyborg's solo outing is the second-furthest project out from a confirmed release, and considering that we don't know where such a story could go yet, or even who is writing and/or directing the film, the excitement isn't really there for it yet, especially considering the fact that Warner Bros. could get cold feet and drop the film from the slate entirely or merge it with something else.

Fortunately, fans looking forward to the character making the leap to the big screen won't have a shortage of him over the next few years, as after Justice League he'll be appearing in The Flash in 2018 and the second Justice League in 2019. But for now, the prospect of seeing the character out on his own isn't all that alluring with so much else on the way.
