19. Black Lightning Season 1

Greg Berlanti TV shows are going to be regular feature on this list, because the man has spent the last four years assembling his own DC comics universe on the small screen.

For his next trick, the man behind Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl will be heading to Fox - meaning it won't be a part of those other series' universe - with Black Lightning.

The network (which already airs Gotham - not on this list as S3 recently started) has ordered a pilot, based on the comics superhero of the same name. The character is Jefferson Pierce, a former Olympian who was born with the power to create and manipulate electromagnetic fields - which he later puts to good use when he becomes Black Lightning. It's still some way off and nothing is really known about it, but Berlanti has a proven track record in this area, so it's one to keep an eye on.
