Movie He'll Die In: The Batman/The Solo Batman Movie

Why Is It Likely? A year ago this was a ludicrous notion, but now, after all the recent turmoil surrounding Ben Affleck and his relationship with the DCEU, there's a good chance it could happen.

The biggest indicator is that aforementioned turmoil. A month ago, industry pundit John Campea mentioned on an episode of Collider Movie Talk that Affleck, whose confidence was reportedly hit after Live By Night bombed at the box-office, does not want to play The Dark Knight anymore.

Anyone who watches Movie Talk on a daily basis knows that Campea does not like "breaking scoops", so he wouldn't waft any smoke if there wasn't, at the very least, a tiny fire to prompt him to do so.

And that's not all. Last December, Justice League 2 was pushed back to provide Warner Bros a release window for The Batman - could that be PR talk? Could that mean Affleck was originally meant to be in the sequel and now he won't be, so it's been pushed back to allow the project to factor in his absence?

A lot of this is based on speculation, but when you couple all these rumours with the character's age - he's been Batman for over twenty years - killing him off and replacing him with a younger model (Nightwing, perhaps?) wouldn't be entirely implausible.
