14. The Recurring Dubstep Gag
One of the big recurring gags throughout the film is the repeated references to dubstep. When Wade learns that Cable is from the future, he asks him, "Is dubstep still a thing?", and Cable promptly retorts, "Dubstep's for pussies", before a fight breaks out that's actually scored to dubstep.
The gag recurs during the convoy assault sequence, when Cable and Deadpool start fighting and Cable quips, "I guess dubstep never dies", before the music kicks in once again. The final reference to the divisive music genre happens during Wade's closing monologue: "If there's anything you take away today, other than the need to Google 'What the f*** is dubstep?', it's that we all need to belong to someone."
Seriously, though, do people not know what dubstep is? Love it or hate it, it's pretty widespread these days.
