And finally, perhaps the movie's single funniest gag and certainly its most entertaining death directly follows the assassination of Barakapool.
Ryan Reynolds is shown happily brandishing the script for Green Lantern, seemingly optimistic that it'll be an easy hit. At that moment, he's shot in the head by Deadpool, after which 'Pool tells the audience, "You're welcome, Canada."
If you (somehow) needed anymore proof how committed to these movies Ryan Reynolds is, and how eager he is to mock himself for our enjoyment, here it is. It's doubtful any death scene for the rest of the year can top this winning combination of demented hilarity and sheer shock factor.
