6. A Not So Subtle Dig At Green Lantern

In the leaked script for Deadpool, the character breaks the fourth wall by making fun of how he was portrayed in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. An introductory video shown at the panel did the same, as Reynolds - in character - provided a voiceover for some snippets of footage from the movie and introduced that by saying, "From the studio that f**ked this up the first time..."

In fact, how poorly Deadpool was handled in that film was brought up a number of times by the actors, with Reynolds promising that at no point does he have his mouth sewn shut this time. 

However, X-Men Origins: Wolverine isn't the only previous superhero movie Reynolds has starred in which draws the ire of the Merc with the Mouth!

Surprisingly, the footage shown in the trailer makes a very obvious (and very funny) dig at Green Lantern, the 2011 movie which was a flop at the box office and hated by fans and critics alike. When Weapon X tells Wade Wilson that he can become a superhero if he allows them to experiment on him, he pleads: "Please don't make the super suit green. Or animated!" 

That CGI costume was widely ridiculed at the time, and Reynolds recently admitted to being unhappy about not seeing it until the first trailer was released. While the chances of Warner Bros. asking him to reprise the role of Hal Jordan were always slim, now they're none!
