2. Did They Just Ruin The Stan Lee Cameo?
Stan Lee making an appearance in Marvel films is par for the course, everybody knows that - apart from when films are so shockingly bad that he won't even 'bless' them with his presence (cough Fant4stic cough). Of course, Deadpool is a fairly risqué character who gets up to some shady sh*t... so when he heads into a strip club to find and warn his old girlfriend that Ajax will be after her, someone behind-the-scenes thought it was a no-brainer to have
this be the sequence where Stan Lee can show up. In a strip club. As the MC. Yeah, it's funny, and the old man clearly is having the
best time - three guesses why - but there's something about it that's a little too off-key. Does Stan Lee even know who Deadpool is? Does he know that this hero's girlfriend is a former hooker? None of it jibes with his Mr Rogers-esque image, and if anything, sullies it.
