A new Denzel Washington flick is out in the States this weekend and suprise, suprise it's another action flick. This time he re-teams with Man on Fire director Tony Scott (not unfamiliar with action movies himself) for a high concept blockbuster which has Washington travelling back in time to save the woman he loves. Here are the critics reviews... "Déjà Vu cannot escape the weight of its murky science, action-film formula and preposterous ending". - Scott Bowles - USA Today "A slick and enjoyable popcorn film, but lacks any real depth or smarts that could set it apart" - Garth Franklin - Dark Horizons "A flabby, tasteless, and nonsensical thriller from Tony Scott that starts off with a bang but quickly devolves into the ridiculous". - Pam Grady - Reelviews "Deja Vu starts out a lot like an expensive-looking episode of CSI before morphing into a solidly entertaining time-traveling romance". - Lou Lumenick - New York Post "This is a smart, fleet-footed action drama -- with sci-fi thrown in for good measure -- that benefits from Tony Scott's energy without succumbing to his hyperactivity". - Eric D. Snider - Ericdsnider.com The movie is currently scoring a 61% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with 58 out of 95 reviews coming back positive. I would bet any money that if you liked Man on Fire, then you will enjoy this to. It's pretty obvious that we have seen this film before, you know what your getting with Deja Vu. The film is released Dec 15th in the U.K. source - rotten tomatoes
