Details on THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL 2!
There was some talk at Cannes that a sequel to The Other Boleyn Girl would quickly be placed into production, Sony/Columbia seemingly happy with a $66 million worldwide taking from a $35 million budget. Personally with that kind of profit margin after such dreadful reviews, I wouldn't bother but the studio must be having a hard time finding some good projects out there right now.

Now, courtesy of the gossip outlet department of the New York Post, we now know it will be based on Philippa Gregory's book The Boleyn Inheritance which obviously won't star Natalie Portman once again as Anne Boleyn as she kinda lost her head in the last one. From the looks of things Mary Boleyn (Scarlett Johansson) isn't in this one but of course Eric Bana should be back as Henry VIII - probably a little chubbier this time around. The book is a direct continuation from The Other Boleyn Girl and follows the aftermath of King Henry VIII's decision to dissolve the Catholic church and his fourth and fifth marriage, with Anne of Cleeves, Katherine Howard and Jane Boleyn the three narrators.
I absolutely hated The Other Boleyn Girl with a passion, mainly because of terrible casting choices (would it have been so hard to find English actors to play these famous English historical figures?) and for the lousy direction from t.v. helmer Justin Chadwick, who looked out of his depth on the big screen quite frankly. The script from the usually good Peter Morgan wasn't up to much either. But I like this period of history. It's extremely intriguing and you only need to see the ratings of The Tudors to see their is a huge audience for this stuff. Let's hope the producers have learned their lesson and will cast British actors more suited to the roles and finds a director who has some talent. source - moviehole
