Director found for Universal's THE HOST remake
Universal, the home of movie monsters, has hired a director for their remake of the 2006 Korean monster blockbuster THE HOST. Commercials director Fredrik Bond will make his feature directorial debut on the Hollywood remake based on the adapted screenplay by SMART PEOPLE scribe Mark Poirier with Gore Verbinski producing. The original movie which pre-dated CLOVERFIELD, follows a dysfunctional family who band together to rescue their little girl who has been taken by a horrifying giant monster.
