Disney+: 10 Original Movies We Want To See

10. A Mickey Mouse Movie

Mickey Mouse is a classic character, his big round ears synonymous with Disney themselves. But have you ever really stopped and asked yourself why?

He was Walt’s favourites of his own creation, even lending his voice to the character initially, and a statue of the two of them can be found in Magic Kingdom. However, his on screen exploits are decidedly lacking when held up against Disney’s other power hitters. It may be the House Of Mouse, but on the silver screen The Rescuers and Cinderella both have mice who have done more.

Mickey has done better in a host of TV shows, particularly the ones aimed at very young children, and with the likes of Epic Mickey has even tried his hand at video games. However, his only foray into Walt Disney Animation movies have been the Fantasia flicks and Fun & Fancy Free.

He’s appeared in some direct to video movies since then, but even if those it’s the two Goofy movies which have been best received. Maybe with Disney+ their mascot can have a revival with a glittering new feature.

Cynically, Disney are known to finagle with copyright law so a new feature could be a way to protect their mascot.
