11. Black Bolt

From the moment the Illuminati were confirmed for the movie, and even before when they were merely rumoured, there was a lot of buzz surrounding just who make up the new team. Loads of big names were thrown around, one of which was Black Bolt.

The King of the Inhumans has actually appeared in the MCU previously, in the painfully forgettable Marvel’s Inhumans on ABC. This was cancelled after just one disappointing season, and while seeing Black Bolt himself wasn’t necessarily surprising, perhaps seeing this version of him was.

Anson Mount reprised his role, though was certainly the most reserved out of the team. This was always going to happen, since he is limited in his speech, though we did get to see him murder the Doctor Strange of Earth-838 on Titan.

However, he will be remembered for one thing, and one thing only. In removing his mouth, Wanda all but ensured any thunderous waves from his voice box remained inside his head, and essentially exploded his brain. A fun inclusion in the movie, but easily the most expendable.
