Kevin Feige has shot down rumours of Doctor Strange appearing in Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel Far From Home.

With Mysterio announced as the villain for the movie - to be played by Jake Gyllenhaal - there was some speculation that Stephen Strange would be making an appearance to help combat the threat, because who better to fight a fake wizard than an actual sorcerer?

This was supported further by a report saying Far From Home will include another MCU hero in a similar role to Tony Stark in Homecoming, the banter between the pair in Avengers: Infinity War, and the fact there is a Sanctorum in London. Due to all of this evidence /Film posed the question to Kevin Feige himself, who surprisingly came out and directly said no.

"No ... I could be coy about it but no ... I don’t wanna get people excited. But Benedict [Cumberbatch] and [Tom] Holland have liked the idea of working together."

Strange likely would've fit into the film quite well, so it'll be interesting to see who else comes in. We should still be seeing Cumberbatch and Holland together again though, with their (currently dead) characters both set to be brought back in Avengers 4. Strange, meanwhile, will definitely be getting a sequel movie of his own, as recently confirmed by Feige - perhaps Spidey could even turn up there instead.

Which MCU hero do you hope appears in Spider-Man: Far From Home? Let us know down in the comments.
