Dumbo Review: 5 Ups & 5 Downs
1. There Are Two Brilliant Surprise Cameos
Dumbo delivers a few more surprises than audiences will probably be reasonably expecting, including two small but hilarious cameo appearances from unexpected performers.
We won't give the game away here, but if you're a fan of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, you should certainly keep your eyes peeled early in the film's first act for a neat cameo from a recurring cast member. And yes, this person shares a brief moment with Danny DeVito.
Later in the film as Dumbo prepares to wow the masses, fans of combat sports meanwhile get an hilarious treat that's a far more inspired and clever nod than, well, almost anything else in the film.
These moments don't make the movie, but if you're in the know, they do provide a hearty laugh all the same.
