Surprisingly, Tom Hardy's presence in Dunkirk has been fairly subdued in the marketing so far, but he will appear as Farrier, a fighter pilot who is seen engaging in a dogfight with a German plane which is attempting to shoot one of his pals out of the sky.

Farrier fires a barrage of bullets at the enemy plane, causing it to crash into the sea, and going by the rapturous reception to the 7-minutes of IMAX footage that heavily focused on this scene, it's going to be an absolute corker of a set-piece.
