Before Scott fights the stunt doubles, you can hear music in the background from music director Nigel Godrich named Rumble, its a takeoff of the score from 1979 cult classic The Warriors, which was composed by Barry de Vorzon. Similarly, the music playing as Todd levitates Scott with his super-Vegan powers (which themselves are clearly a nod to Super-Sonic, given the halo-like glow around him) backstage at Lees Palace is inspired by the music in John Carpenters films.
