After Gideon acts ridiculously smug to Scott down the phone while faux-apologising about Ramona, Wallace is also listening in. Hearing the unbearable smugness, Wallace changes tact on what Scott should do about Ramona and Gideon, believing he should pursue her even if as Wallace freely admits hes better than Scott. He spurs Scott on with a videogame reference, demanding that Scott finish him, a reference from the Mortal Kombat fighter series, where if you beat your opponent you get an allotted amount of time to destroy them in as grisly a way as possible, such as through fatalities, brutalities or animalities.
