Wright's fourth major film, The World's End, represents his stab at science fiction, albeit with a social twist.Yet the inspiration for the film comes from the hard sci-fi 1977 Christopher Lee vehicle The End of the World, where a priest goes on a spiritual retreat and ends up encountering an Alien double intent on conquering the world. Its very obvious to see the inspiration for The Worlds Ends plotline from this, with its story of body doubles intent on upgrading the world.
