The opening song of the film Primal Screams Loaded uses lines from the 1966 Roger Corman film The Wild Angels. A counter-culture cult classic, the devil-may-care attitude and actions of the Angels motorcycle gang are mirrored in Garys approach to life. Obviously this is only to a certain extent the Angels themselves are a particularly nasty bunch, committing sexual assaults and other myriad felonies at will. All Gary wants to do Is get loaded and have a good time. That target is expressed in the opening music through Peter Fondas line in reposne to the question just what is it that you want to do? He says, word-for-word: We wanna be free, we wanna be free to do what we want to do. And we wanna get loaded, and we wanna have a good time. Gary later parrots back this credo when The Network asks him the same question.
