Both actors portraying he couple have previous with Wright, having featured in the other instalments of the Cornetto Trilogy. The man is Rafe Spall, who portrayed Noel a worker at Shauns work, Foree Electricals and a member of Sandfords detective duo the Andes. His mum sells apples and raspberries. The woman is Alice Lowe, who showed up as table-dancing Somerfield employee Tina in Hot Fuzz. Lowe was also in the Wright-produced and Ben Wheatley-directed Sightseers. They turn up again at the end of the film, once again being shown a house by Oliver.
