The choreography in the fight itself especially Andys moves are a reference to The Matrixs similarly shot hand-to-hand combat scenes. This isnt an accident The Worlds Ends cinematographer Bill Pope also worked on The Matrix films. Another fight reference where Wright gets to embrace his inner geek comes near the end of the encounter, where Andy a blank up above his head and snaps his back like Bane does to Batman in The Dark Knight Rises. Of course, Andy appears to do it in a much more brutal manner, with the Blank spine coming out of his front if that happened to Batman, I dont think he wouldve been able to make his way back to Gotham.
