Edgar Wright sounding optimistic over ANT-MAN

As opposed to THOR, Wright sounds optimistic over the size changing superhero now he is working on his second draft for Marvel.

As opposed to the comments from Matthew Vaughn regarding Thor to the Empire Magazine this weekend, Edgar Wright and his Ant-Man adaptation thankfully seems to be moving along nicely.

I can't say I know anything at all about the character but I like Edgar Wright's work and although it might be strange seeing him direct a big tentpole for Marvel, I'm intrigued as hell to see it...
€œIt€™s written and we€™re doing a second draft of it,€ said Wright. €œIt€™s going to be less overtly comedic than anything else I€™ve ever done. It€™s more of a full-on action adventure sci-fi film but with a comedic element €“ in the same spirit of a lot of escapist fare like that. It€™s certainly not a superhero spoof or pastiche and it certainly isn€™t a sort of Honey I Shrunk The Kids endeavour at all.€
Awesome. I'm really happy that Marvel are pushing ahead with this kind of hero as opposed to the tired old conventional one's like X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Wright confirms that both Hank Pym and Scott Lang will both appear as Ant-Man during the course of the film...

Moving ahead, Edgar Wright continues to sound optimistic over the final part of his "Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy" with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost...
€œThat€™s one of the things that we€™re going to do with Working Title who we€™ve just signed a two-picture deal with,€ he said. €œIt will have comedy and a cross-genre in a similar way.
But after a zom-rom-com and an action/cop comedy... who knows what genre's Wright has up his sleeves to cross next.
