1. It's The Most Disappointing MCU Movie BY FAR
Is Eternals the worst ever MCU movie? That's totally debatable - for many it will be of considerably greater interest than the indisputable franchise punching bag, Thor: The Dark World.
This isn't nearly as disposable plot-wise as the second Thor movie or even Black Widow, but it is almost inarguably the most disappointing MCU movie to date.
Expectations were enormously high from the moment the cast and director Zhao had their involvement confirmed, and so for this much talent to end up delivering the worst-reviewed MCU film to date is absolutely inexplicable.
It just goes to show that, as ever, script is king, and without the fundamentals being nailed down on such a massive project, no amount of star power or directorial prowess can paper over it.
The best thing you can do is lower your expectations going in and appreciate that what you're about to see is a deeply flawed piece of work, albeit not without its merits.
