It's pretty surprising that Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast didn't score a Best Original Song nomination for "Evermore", but the film is certainly a fitting nominee in the production design and costume design fields.
A lavish, sumptuous rendition of the classic animation, albeit saddled by Emma Watson's dodgy singing voice and a bloated runtime, this new take lives up to its predecessor's legacy with sharp style, pithy humour and a solid dollop of poignant emotion.

It's nowhere near as great as it could've been had Watson been recast and the script thoroughly streamlined, but it's hard to argue too much with the charm offensive on display.
