Not so long ago, the long-mooted Lobo adaptation was rumoured to have been cancelled entirely (along with Deadshot), but earlier this year, Michael Bay became the latest director to be linked to the job. As strange as that sounds, if he brought some of his Pain & Gain attitude to it, it might not be entirely terrible.

With Deadpool doing so well (twice now), there's definitely a market for more outrageous, self-aware anti-heroes and Lobo definitely fits that bill. As long as the right balance is captured between humour and hyper-violence. It falls to Jason Fuchs to rewrite the script to make sure that's captured.

Will It Happen?

On the back of Deadpool, yes. But maybe not with Michael Bay.
