17. Yon-Rogg - Captain Marvel

Everything pointed towards both Jude Law’s mystery character being the secret villain of the Captain Marvel movie and also him being Mar-Vell. At least we were all half right.

He’s another of the good guys who are actually bad guys - like Obadiah Stane, Loki, Alexander Pierce and Ego (if Marvel likes an idea, they run with it) - but it’s painfully obvious he’s bad from right at the start, so the twist is lost entirely. It’s like Law didn’t read the script.

He works as an agent of the secret Kree regime of ethnic cleansing, but he would have had to do a lot more to break into the top of the ranking.
