10. Downton Abbey: A New Era

The world wasn't exactly screaming in desperation for another Downton Abbey movie, but this cinematic rejoinder nevertheless offered up one more breezy reunion with the Crawley family and company.

Even the most casual fan will struggle not to be at least slightly charmed by this shamelessly fizzy romp, benefitting from its colossal ensemble cast and the inevitable charms of Julian Fellowes' script.

It remains to be seen whether or not a third film will ever materialise - Hugh Bonneville seems doubtful - but if this is indeed our final check-in with the Crawleys, it's certainly a fitting farewell, especially with regard to its affecting finale.
