If not quite as good as the first Enola Holmes, this is a respectably fun sequel that, like its predecessor, goes on a little too long for its own good.

Once again, Millie Bobby Brown gives such a charming and entertaining performance as Enola that it's easy to forgive the saggy pacing and generally whatever nature of the plot.

Henry Cavill is also a lot of fun here and gets a solid amount to do, enjoying easy chemistry with his screen sibling.

Packed with solid action and offering up one fantastic surprise at the very end, Enola Holmes 2 proves the IP worthy of a franchise. And while it hasn't been confirmed yet, there's basically 99.3% certainty that a third film happens soon enough.
