After years of speculation and more than a decade after the original Black Widow movie was planned (and killed thanks to Aeon Flux's poor box office performance), we're finally getting a Black Widow movie.

It looks likely that it's going to be a prequel concentrating on Widow's training and defection and it wouldn't be surprising if Sebastian Stan's hints that Bucky will appear as a mentor to her are nailed on, either.

Will It Happen?

Absolutely. With all fo the goodwill Marvel have scored with their positive strides towards better representation, there is literally no way they'd pull the plug on Black Widow when it's already been announced as in production. They're not that stupid.
