Yes, it's down to Kevin Feige again to talk about the Eternals movie. He said on April 24th, 2018 that the Eternals is one of the many films that the studio is actively discussing and then in May, the studio hired Blacklist writers Ryan and Matthew K. Firpo to pen the script.
Weirdly, they were hired on the back of a script about a vengeful former Nazi Captain who hunts down and kills his former SS colleagues. That doesn't really impact this movie, but it's interesting all the same.
Another recent rumour suggests Eternals might be how Marvel are planning to introduce mutants to the MCU now that they have Fox's Marvel rights back.
Will It Happen?
If it has writers already, it's well on the way. And it does make a lot of sense as the movie to bring mutants into the franchise, if Marvel aren't choosing to go multiverse for that.
