Every MCU Romance Ranked From Worst To Best

12. Steve Rogers & Sharon Carter

First up we have a romance so forced that it ended almost as quickly as it started.

Captain America's romantic attraction to Sharon Carter existed simply because it happened in the comics but, after the exceptional execution of his previous romance, this was just never going to work. And it's that previous romance that makes this one feel wrong, on so many levels.

Though their brief interactions in Captain America: The Winter Soldier suggested that a romance could have worked at some point (had she been another character), it was clear that Steve was still heartbroken over the realisation that he would never be with his old flame, Peggy Carter, so when he learned that Sharon was actually the niece of that flame, he should have nipped whatever it was they had in the bud immediately. But instead, they kissed... days after Peggy's death.

Aside from the weirdness, there was just too much happening in Cap's world for this to get the attention it needed, so what we got was rather forced and, quite frankly, paled in comparison to what Steve had with Peggy.
