25. Saw V - The Ten Pints Sacrifice

Trap: 10 pints of blood, which were to be extracted with a buzzsaw, were required to open a sealed door. This trap was designed for five people but by this point in the game only two players - Brit (Julie Benz) and Malik (Grey Bryk) - were left, since the victims hadn't worked together in any of the prior traps.

In spite of the overall lacklustre nature of the film's main game, this final trap was a good one. It was very gory, it had plenty of intensity and energy, the conversation between the two victims about the fire they'd caused was so much better-written than anything else in the film and also, both of them survived against all odds.

In a franchise where things almost never end happily for anyone, this happy ending was such a nice break from tradition.
