10. Major Sweets Candy Factory

The House:

Before Major Sweets turned all the children of Universal's New York streets into fiends with his candy, he needed to test it out. It also happens that you are chaperoning a group of children whilst touring his candy factory. What could go wrong?

The Verdict:

Major Sweets Candy Factory was the very first house we experienced on our RIP Tour and it was such a blast.

The house had strong smell of candy as you walked into it and it was certainly visceral in its colour scheme. The characters were fun and if you had experienced the previous scare zone Major Sweets and Miss Treats, it would have been instantly recognisable. We especially liked Taffy, a new character for Major Sweets.

There were plenty of scares and this was certainly a house on the gross side. We also loved the return of guest interaction in this maze as their were plenty of buttons to press (so watch out for them as you journey through this one).

Unfortunately for Major Sweets Candy Factory, the more houses we experienced throughout the course of the night, the lower this one fell down our list. This year is definitely strong and we were certainly surprised after experiencing this house, that by the end of the night it came out this far down our rankings.
