Quite disturbingly, Disney's remakes have already reached the early 00s, with it recently revealed this redo of 2002's Lilo and Stitch is coming sooner rather than later.
Prior to Tangled ushering in a new Disney Renaissance, Lilo & Stitch was arguably the last good animated Disney movie before a string of misfires in the 00s, and it's hilarious, emotional story is rightly beloved.

How well it translates to live-action/CGI remains to be seen, because Stitch works so well in cartoon form, but the story is lovely and it'll be another remake that equates to Disney printing money.
