3. The Lion King

In 1994, The Lion King became the crowning achievement of Disney animation. Fast forward 20+ years, and it looks like doing the same for its live-action remakes. Let’s call it The Circle of Life.

Jon Favreau showed what he can do with The Jungle Book - the best of these remakes to date - and now he’s got a much better story and an even better cast to work with, led by the ridiculous talented Donald Glover and actual Queen, Beyoncé.

The lack of human characters makes this a different proposition from most of these reimaginings, but the thought of what Favreau and his team can do here with the VFX, plot, cast, and, of course, music, is a man extremely tantalising prospect.

This is going to be a roaring success.
