22. The Little Mermaid

Having turned lots of heads with Hamilton and Miranda, Lin-Manuel Miranda is obviously seen as one of Disney's biggest current assets, as he's involved in not one but two major upcoming releases.
With Mary Poppins Returns likely complete, he's moving on to helping remake The Little Mermaid, which he and Alan Menken will write the new songs for. If it delivers on the appreciation of the original, you're looking at another billion dollar Disney flick.
21. The Jungle Book 2
Release Date: TBC (some time in 2019 apparently).
Status: Announced
There may be very few details at the minute, but the second Jon Favreau's live action remake of The Jungle Book made so much money, a sequel was assured. It's been announced for a while now, with screenwriter Justin Marks returning alongside Jon Favreau and star Neel Sethi.
Hopefully, the film won't adapt the animated Jungle Book straight-to-DVD sequel Disney released in 2003, because it was terrible, but there's definitely lots of potential in expanding Mowgli's jungle story. Hopefully, shooting back to back with The Lion King won't burn Favreau out.
