1. Avengers: Infinity War

Status: Filming until July 2017.
In honour of Star Wars Day 2018, the MCU is delivering its own take on galactic alien war with Infinity War, which promises to be the culmination of everything we've seen in the MCU so far. We know that Thanos is coming to retrieve the Infinity Stones, which should spell disaster for some of Marvel's biggest characters, and while Kevin Feige and his horde of directors have so far proved reluctant to kill too many characters off, this does feel like an inevitability.
MCU MVPs the Russos (who would ever have predicted that when You, Me & Dupree came out?!) are back to dial up both the scale and scope of the sequel, and it's likely that we will have never seen something so big. In terms of the cast, at least, big is very much a literal description.
Okay, so there's probably lots of potential for it to be over-long, over-stuffed and unbalanced, but if the Russos manage to pull it off, we could be looking at a contender for the MCU's best film. And interestingly, it will lead to Avengers 4 being significantly different to anything we've seen in the MCU so far, which is a pretty intriguing prospect.
