Natasha Romanoff should have had her own solo movie long before she suffered the fate that she did in Avengers: Endgame. After over ten years, Black Widow deserved to be the first female led movie in the MCU.

Natasha's likely MCU swansong aside, there is a lot to be excited about in Black Widow. Three potentially excellent new characters in Yelena, Melina, and the Red Guardian, two of which may well have big futures in the franchise, the return of Thaddeus Ross and the possible inception of the Thunderbolts, and a mysterious, compelling villain could well make the movie one of the best Phase Four. Hopefully this will be worth the delay of a full year.
