We were always going to get a Spider-Man 3, that much is certain. When Disney and Sony temporarily broke up, though, we had no real idea of how the sequel was going to change from Far From Home's end.
In reality, Sony didn't really need to do a great deal to excise the MCU links (with a little creative imagination, at least) and as long as we got to see Spider-Man fleeing J Jonah Jameson's (and his backer) very public agenda to turn him into a terrorist, it would still have been great.
Let's just hope that Marvel's reinstatement means it will be right up there with Far From Home's quality and we get to see tangible links to the MCU.
