Following Harry Osborn discovering who Spider-Man really is, he reluctantly agrees to let Peter go free in order to save Mary Jane Watson from the clutches of Doctor Octopus and stop Ock from destroying the city.
It's in Spider-Man 2's climactic battle with Octavius that Peter reveals his true identity to his former mentor, unmasking to successfully convince Otto to give up on his fusion reactor scheme.
Upon realising who Spider-Man is, Ock gives a wry smile and quips, "Peter Parker? Brilliant but lazy..."
16. Spider-Man 2 - Mary Jane Watson
Of course, as part of Spider-Man 2's climactic battle, Kirsten Dunst's MJ is also present to witness Spidey unmasking to Doc Ock.
Unfortunately for these two lovebirds, Peter insists that he and MJ could never be together due to him being Spider-Man... only for audiences to then skip to a scene of Mary Jane bailing on her wedding to John Jameson and running straight into the arms of Parker.
