14. Bunty Gets "Wet" For Newt
And now for some totally inappropriate - yet undeniably hilarious - sexual innuendo! Newt (Eddie Redmayne) arrives back home and touches base with his assistant Bunty (Victoria Yeates), before he prepares to take a swim with his sea-faring beast, the Kelpie.
Bunty suggests he take off his shirt before taking a dip, but he rebuffs her, saying he'll dry off quickly enough regardless.
The kicker comes when the Kelpie causes a gigantic tidal wave of water to splash over Bunty, at which point we cut to her panting quasi-orgasmically, and the implication of the scene is incredibly clear. Literally and figuratively, she is wet for Newt.
It's a fun, campy gag for the adults, and at least subtle enough to fly over kids' heads, undeniably peculiar though its inclusion is.
