You only hate him because he's so great at his job. And shouldn't we feel the same about Doom? Bernthal's incredibly accomplished, making his big splash in The Walking Dead as the irredeemable Shane. To see him bring his twisted, subtle, nuances to Doom's conniving, back-stabbing, and altogether horrific persona could prove a great direction for the character. And while Bernthal might be routine to the Southern dialect, he's got a European look that would do him well if we see Victor before he ever dons the mask. So, at this point, Bernthal should be a fairly strong contender.
